Contractors Ghana opened its books in 1980 and is now well into its fifth decade of continuous building practice. The firm earned its standing on projects where delivery is audited rather than admired — corporate and institutional facilities whose boards approve a completion date before tender, and international hotels whose refurbishment windows leave no room for a slipped programme.
How the firm works
One named member of the Project Office is answerable for each Contractors Ghana commission, cover to cover. The method has not changed since the early years: a measured Bill of Quantities before contract, works specified in writing against Ghana’s building regulations (L.I. 1630) and the Ghana Building Code (GS 1207:2018), staged quality inspections signed at each gate, and a documented handover the client’s own auditors can file.
Where the work stands
The portfolio is Ghanaian through and through — the head-office and hotel districts of Greater Accra, commercial estates in Tema, and institutional commissions in Kumasi and Takoradi. Facility directors come back because the buildings behave the way the specification said they would, years after the hoarding came down.
Discretion is part of the service
The organisations Contractors Ghana serves rarely permit their contractors to trade on their names, and the firm does not ask them to. Client references available on request.
